Tafsir of Surah An-Nahl 16:107
﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allāh does not guide the disbelieving people.

والله سبحانه وتعالى جعل استحباب الدنيا على الآخرة هو الأصل الموجب للخسران واستحباب الدنيا على الآخرة قد يكون مع العلم والتصديق بأن الكفر يضر في الآخرة وبأنه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق.«مجموع الفتاوى» 7/560
