Tafsir of Surah Al-Kahf 18:9
﴿أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَبًا﴾

Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?

وكذلك {أم حسبت أن أصحاب الكهف} أي أبلغك خبرهم أم حسبت أنهم كانوا من آياتنا عجبا«بدائع الفوائد» 1/207وليس هذا استفهام استعلام بل تقريع وتوبيخ وإنكار وليس بإخبار فهو إذا متضمن لاستفهام سابق مدلول عليه بقوة الكلام وسياقه ودلت أم عليه لأنها لا تكون إلا بعد تقدم استفهام«بدائع الفوائد» 1/207
