Tafsir of Surah Al-Ankaboot 29:6
﴿وَمَن جَاهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَاهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allāh is Free from need of the worlds.

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
فإنه غني عن العالمين لم يأمرهم بما أمرهم به حاجة منه إليهم ولا نهاهم عما نهاهم عنه بخلا منه عليهم بل أمرهم بما يعود نفعه ومصلحته عليهم في معاشهم ومعادهم ونهاهم عما يعود مضرته وعتيه عليهم في معاشهم ومعادهم«شفاء العليل في مسائل القضاء والقدر والحكمة والتعليل» 1/246
