Tafsir of Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:140
﴿إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُهُ وَتِلْكَ الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَاءَ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allāh may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allāh does not like the wrongdoers -

فقد استويتم في القرح والألم، وتباينتم في الرجاء والثواب،«زاد المعاد في هدي خير العباد» 3/199تنبيه لطيف الموقع جدا على كراهته وبغضه للمنافقين الذين انخذلوا عن نبيه يوم أحد فلم يشهدوه ولم يتخذ منهم شهداء، لأنه لم يحبهم فأركسهم وردهم ليحرمهم ما خص به المؤمنين في ذلك اليوم، وما أعطاه من استشهد منهم،«زاد المعاد في هدي خير العباد» 3/200
