Tafsir of Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:170
﴿فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
Rejoicing in what Allāh has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
والثاني: مقيد بفضل الله وبرحمته. وهو نوعان أيضا. فضل ورحمة بالسبب. وفضل بالمسبب، فالأول: كقوله: {قل بفضل الله وبرحمته فبذلك فليفرحوا هو خير مما يجمعون} [يونس: 58] والثاني: كقوله: {فرحين بما آتاهم الله من فضله} [آل عمران: 170] .«مدارج السالكين بين منازل إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين» 3/149
