Tafsir of Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:92
﴿لَن تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا مِن شَيْءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ﴾
Translation of the meaning
Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allāh] from that which you love. And whatever you spend - indeed, Allāh is Knowing of it.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah
فالتصدق مما يحبه الإنسان جنس تحته أنواع كثيرة. وأما الإيثار مع الخصاصة فهو أكمل من مجرد التصدق مع المحبة، فإنه ليس كل متصدق محبا مؤثرا، ولا كل متصدق يكون به خصاصة،«الإمامة في ضوء الكتاب والسنة» 1/165
