Tafsir of Surah An-Nisaa 4:72
﴿وَإِنَّ مِنكُمْ لَمَن لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُن مَّعَهُمْ شَهِيدًا﴾
Translation of the meaning
And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, "Allāh has favored me in that I was not present with them."

فهؤلاء المبطئون لم يحبوا لإخوانهم المؤمنين ما يحبون لأنفسهم بل إن أصابتهم مصيبة فرحوا باختصاصهم وإن أصابتهم نعمة لم يفرحوا لهم بها بل أحبوا أن يكون لهم منها حظ«مجموع الفتاوى» 10/128
