Tafsir of Surah Al-Ghaafir 40:61
﴿اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
It is Allāh who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful.

كيف جعل الليل سكنا ولباسا يغشى العالم فتسكن فيه الحركات وتأوى الحيوانات الى بيوتها والطير الى اوكارها وتستجم فيه النفوس وتستريح من كد السعي والتعب«مفتاح دار السعادة ومنشور ولاية العلم والإرادة» 1/203
