Tafsir of Surah Al-An'aam 6:14
﴿قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
Say, "Is it other than Allāh I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allāh] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.'"

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
يعني معبودا وناصرا ومعينا وملجأ. وهو من الموالاة التي تتضمن الحب والطاعة.«مدارج السالكين بين منازل إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين» 2/178فلو أخر لكان الاستفهام عن مجرد الفعل فلما قدم كان الاستفهام عن الفعل وكون المفعول المقدم مختصا به«الصواعق المرسلة في الرد على الجهمية والمعطلة» 2/721
