Tafsir of Surah Al-Anfaal 8:63
﴿وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَّا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ﴾
Translation of the meaning
And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allāh brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.

وتأليف القلوب جعل بعضها يألف ويميل إليه ويحبه وهو من أفعالها الاختيارية وقد أخبر سبحانه أنه هو الذي فعل ذلك لا غيره«شفاء العليل في مسائل القضاء والقدر والحكمة والتعليل» 1/57
