Tafsir of Surah At-Tawba 9:103
﴿خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ صَلَاتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَّهُمْ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ﴾
Translation of the meaning
Take, [O Muḥammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke [Allāh's blessings] upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.

والتطهير عن الذنب إما بأن لا يفعله العبد، وإما أن يتوب منه كما في قوله: { خذ من أموالهم صدقة تطهرهم وتزكيهم بها } [التوبة: 103]«الإمامة في ضوء الكتاب والسنة» 1/77فإن المأمور به صدقة تكون مطهرة مزكية لهم هذا إنما يعرف ببيان الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم«مجموع الفتاوى» 7/392
