Tafsir of Surah Al-Baqara 2:94
﴿قُلْ إِن كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ عِندَ اللَّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّن دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
Say, [O Muḥammad], "If the home of the Hereafter with Allāh is for you alone and not the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful."

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
لأن الحبيب لا يكره لقاء حبيبة والابن لا يكره لقاء أبيه لا سيما إذا علم أن كرامته ومثوبته مختصة به بل أحب شيء إليه لقاء حبيبه وأبيه فحيث لم يحب ذلك ولم يتمنه فهو كاذب في قوله مبطل في دعواه.«بدائع الفوائد» 4/149
