Tafsir of Surah Al-Baqara 2:95
﴿وَلَن يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدًا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
But never will they wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allāh is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

وإذا كان كذلك فالآية إنما اقتضت نفي تمني الموت أبد الحياة الدنيا ولم يتعرض للآخرة أصلا وذلك لأنهم لحبهم الحياة وكراهتهم للجزاء لا يتمنون وهذا منتف في الآخرة«بدائع الفوائد» 1/97
