Tafsir of Surah Al-Qasas 28:67
﴿فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَعَسَىٰ أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
But as for one who had repented, believed, and done righteousness, it is expected [i.e., promised by Allāh] that he will be among the successful.

فكما خلقهم وحده سبحانه، اختار منهم من تاب وآمن وعمل صالحا، فكانوا صفوته من عباده، وخيرته من خلقه، وكان هذا الاختيار راجعا إلى حكمته وعلمه سبحانه لمن هو أهل له، لا إلى اختيار هؤلاء المشركين واقتراحهم«زاد المعاد في هدي خير العباد» 1/43
