Tafsir of Surah Al-Ankaboot 29:12
﴿وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبِعُوا سَبِيلَنَا وَلْنَحْمِلْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَمَا هُم بِحَامِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُم مِّن شَيْءٍ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ﴾
Translation of the meaning
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins." But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah
فأخبر أن أئمة الضلال لا يحملون من خطايا الأتباع شيئا وأخبر أنهم يحملون أثقالهم وهي أوزار الأتباع من غير أن ينقص من أوزار الأتباع شيء؛ لأن إرادتهم كانت جازمة بذلك وفعلوا مقدورهم فصار لهم جزاء كل عامل؛ لأن الجزاء على العمل يستحق مع الإرادة الجازمة وفعل المقدور منه.«مجموع الفتاوى» 10/725
