Tafsir of Surah An-Nisaa 4:26
﴿يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ﴾
Translation of the meaning
Allāh wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allāh is Knowing and Wise.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah
وإرادته " قسمان ": إرادة أمر وتشريع وإرادة قضاء وتقدير. فالقسم الأول: إنما يتعلق بالطاعات دون المعاصي سواء وقعت أو لم تقع. كما في قوله: {يريد الله ليبين لكم ويهديكم سنن الذين من قبلكم ويتوب عليكم}«مجموع الفتاوى» 8/197Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
