Tafsir of Surah Al-Hashr 59:3
﴿وَلَوْلَا أَن كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْجَلَاءَ لَعَذَّبَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابُ النَّارِ﴾
Translation of the meaning
And if not that Allāh had decreed for them evacuation, He would have punished them in [this] world, and for them in the Hereafter is the punishment of the Fire.

وهؤلاء أجلاهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وكانوا يسكنون شرقي المدينة النبوية فأجلاهم بعد أن حاصرهم وكانت أموالهم مما أفاء الله على رسوله.«مجموع الفتاوى» 28/563Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
والتعذيب في الدنيا هو القتال والإهلاك، ثم علل ذلك بالمشاقة، وأخر عنهم ذلك التعذيب لما سبق من كتابة الجلاء عليهم«أحكام أهل الذمة» 3/1394
