Tafsir of Surah An-Nisaa 4:113
﴿وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَهَمَّت طَّائِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُضِلُّوكَ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَضُرُّونَكَ مِن شَيْءٍ وَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمْ تَكُن تَعْلَمُ وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيمًا﴾
Translation of the meaning
And if it was not for the favor of Allāh upon you, [O Muḥammad], and His mercy, a group of them would have determined to mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they will not harm you at all. And Allāh has revealed to you the Book and wisdom and has taught you that which you did not know. And ever has the favor of Allāh upon you been great.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah
وقد يكون في سياق أنه لا يسمع ولا يعلم إلا ما أسمعه الله إياه وأعلمه إياه، فإنه [ليس]، من تلقاء نفسه ليس له [علم بشيء]، بل الله هو الذي أسمعه وأعلمه،«الاستغاثة في الرد على البكري» 1/360فالحكمة نزلت عليه، وهي منقولة في غير القرآن،«الجواب الصحيح لمن بدل دين المسيح» 6/68Imam Ibn al-Qayyim
والحكمة هي العلم النافع والعمل الصالح وسمي حكمة لأن العلم والعمل قد تعلقا بمتعلقهما وأوصلا إلى غايتيهما«شفاء العليل في مسائل القضاء والقدر والحكمة والتعليل» 1/190
